By James Ewaoche Amedu
If there is any prayer on the lips of legendary Idoma folklorist, Mama Igbe, is for God to grant philanthropist, Mr. Okoh ‘Godbless’ Achegbulu life span longer than that of the eagle.
IDOMA VOICE exclusively gathered that Okoh, a native of Adoka Icho has erected a befitting house for the singer in her country home, Oglewu, Benue State.
The Oil magnet, IDOMA VOICE learnt has almost completed a two bed room apartment for this forgotten legend.
Our reporter, who visited the project site, gathered that the edifice is at the state of completion.
Confirming the development, Mr. Okoh, who has helped Idoma natives, both home and abroad, said he was pained to be informed that the legendary singer was living in a deplorable condition, hence his decision to house her.
Mr. Okoh, whose house in Adoka was used to house IDPs from Agatu for months, said he never met with the woman before commencing the project.
“Someone drew my attention to her condition and I quickly ordered my contractor to go put up the house for her. The project is almost completed and we hope to furnish it as soon as it is completed.
“This is my own little way I can help my people,” he told our reporter in Abuja.
Watchout for the full interview with this God-sent to Idoma nation in the next edition of Idoma Voice.
