The Chief Executive Officer of eTutors Nigeria Limited, Adeniyi Ajayi, has called for the adoption of online learning platforms as a strategic solution to Nigeria’s deepening education crisis.

Ajayi, in a statement titled “Online platform, a solution to overcrowded classrooms, others,” said digital learning could help tackle pressing challenges such as overcrowded classrooms, insecurity, limited access to qualified teachers, and the rising cost of transportation for students.

“Our education system is in crisis and needs a holistic approach, not just to safeguard the future of our children but also to position Nigeria for global competitiveness,” he said.

He noted that traditional classroom methods are no longer sufficient to meet the growing academic needs of students across the country.

Ajayi said platforms like eTutors could revolutionize learning by providing secure, affordable, and interactive educational experiences that go beyond the limitations of physical tutoring.

Describing the launch of eTutors as a pivotal step in Nigeria’s educational development, Ajayi said the platform connects students with qualified tutors across the country and abroad, offering an opportunity for widespread academic improvement.

He also expressed concern over declining student performance, noting that over 75 per cent of candidates scored below 200 in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
