Agom Anthony clinches APC ticket for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency

Rt. Hon. Agom Anthony has secured victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The exercise witnessed strong participation from party delegates, stakeholders, and supporters across the constituency, with Anthony emerging as the clear winner by a wide margin.

At the end of voting and result collation, he polled 19,124 votes. Other contenders trailed behind, with Hon. Innocent Ikwumonu scoring 884 votes, Hon. Patience Ene Akor 853 votes, Hon. Abah Okoriko 815 votes, Hon. John Mary Idoko 599 votes, and Hon. Fred Apoch 438 votes.

With this outcome, Rt. Hon. Agom Anthony becomes the APC’s official flag bearer for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election.

Party leaders present commended the peaceful conduct of the primary and called on all aspirants and their supporters to unite in pursuit of victory for the APC in the general election.

In his acceptance speech, Anthony expressed gratitude to delegates, party leaders, and supporters for their confidence in him.

He pledged to provide inclusive leadership, effective representation, and sustained development across Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo communities.
