Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo disowns website [www.fuhso.ng], gives update on recruitment, admission

The management of the Federal university of Health Sciences, Otukpo has disowned a recently-launched website, www.fuhso.ng.

IDOMA VOICE observed that the new website with the domain name, www.fusho.ng has since gone viral and claiming to be the official portal of the institution.

The domain name of the said website is .ng instead of the usual .edu.ng for educational institutions in Nigeria

It was gathered that on the 10th of March, 2021 text messages were sent to some people with a link to this same website, fuhso.ng, directing them to provide the email address used to apply for a job at the FUHSO to take a CBT.

Reacting to the development, the office of the VC, Prof Innocent Ujah said although the recruitment process is on but it has no knowledge of the said website.

“The process for the recruitment is on but as for the website you are talking about, we are not aware,” an insider who did not want his name mentioned said.

Asked when academic activities will begin, the source said, “we are still on the recruitment process. Academic activities can’t start without academic and non-academic staff you know. Once we are through with the recruitment, we’ll move to the next phase.”

Meanwhile, a who.is check on the website by IDOMA VOICE showed that the owner put every information about the site on private.
Findings by our reporter showed that the site was created on 2021-01-21 around 15:01:49.
