Fire engulfs plank market in Lagos
Fire has gutted a plank market in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State.
Emergency responders from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency are on-site, working to control the blaze at the Oko Baba plank market.
Adedeji Olalekan, a user on X, provided updates on the situation, reporting that the fire has severely impacted the shanties within the market.
“Okobaba Street is ablaze right now, and all the shanties are burning,” he posted on Twitter.
