Flooding: Peter Obi under fire over visit to Benue

The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has come under fire following his visit to Benue State.

Obi had suspended his campaign due to the devastating flood, which has killed many and rendered several others homeless.

The former Anambra Governor had also called on his counterparts in the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party to do same.

Reacting, however, Reno Omokri, an ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonaghan described Obi’s action as an eyeservice.

He tweeted, “Obi is from Anambra. Harira, a pregnant Northerner, was killed with her 4 kids in Anambra. Obi did not suspend campaign to visit her family. Unknown gunmen kill 100 people in Anambra in 2022. Obi did not suspend campaign. Flood occurs, Obi decides to do eye service!”
