Four popular gospel singers die in Ogun road accident

No fewer than four well-known gospel ministers, including Evangelist Ayodeji David, popularly known as Kekere Jesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Opeyemi Adesina, and Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, have been confirmed dead following a tragic road accident along the Ikorodu–Sagamu Road in Ogun State.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the fatal incident in a statement released by Florence Okupe, the Public Information Officer of the Ogun State Command.

According to the statement, the ministers were on their way to a ministry assignment when their vehicle was involved in a high-impact collision with another vehicle. The crash claimed the lives of all four occupants instantly.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the accident, which involved multiple vehicles, resulted in over 24 fatalities.

Preliminary investigations by the FRSC attribute the crash to over speeding and poor visibility. Meanwhile, Kekere Jesu and his senior brother’s wife have reportedly been laid to rest.

The remains of his late personal assistant were taken to Ado-Ekiti, while his deceased fiancée’s body was handed over to her family for burial.
