Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit TV show “Friends,” was laid to rest this week, and his funeral was attended by his loved ones and fellow “Friends” castmates. The low-key gathering took place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, a cemetery close to the Warner Bros. Studio lot where “Friends” was filmed.

The funeral was attended by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow, all of whom played pivotal roles in the iconic TV series. Matthew Perry’s family, including his mother Suzanne Morrison, his father John Bennett Perry, and his stepfather Keith Morrison, were also in attendance, TMZ reports.

The ceremony was relatively small, with around 20 people gathered at Matthew Perry’s burial plot. Attendees wore black attire, and there were moments of hugs and condolences exchanged. There is video footage showing the three actresses heading into a church, presumably where a service was held.

Matthew Perry’s funeral took place nearly a week after his sudden passing. He was found unresponsive at his home, with the cause of death still undetermined and under investigation by the LAPD.

The “Friends” stars had initially kept their remarks brief and united, expressing their collective grief at the “unfathomable loss” to their TV family. The private nature of the “Friends” cast and the sensitivity of the situation made the funeral a low-key event, and it remains to be seen if there will be a public celebration of Matthew Perry’s life in the future.
