Full list of 126 federal institutions qualified for FG student loan

The student’s loan scheme launched on Friday after several delays. Initially, only 126 federal institutions will participate in the scheme aimed at making education accessible to needy students.

The first phase targets 1.2 million students from federal-government-owned universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and technical colleges, according to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

NELFUND also stated that state-owned institutions would be included in the program eventually.

Eligible students can apply for the interest-free loan on the NELFUND website at portal.nelf.gov.ng.
