Full List of 80,000 delisted companies published by CAC

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has officially removed companies that failed to file their annual returns for the past decade from its register.

In a statement on Wednesday, the CAC confirmed the delisting, following its earlier notice on July 25. The notice had granted non-compliant companies a 90-day grace period to update their records or face removal.

“The general public may recall that the commission issued a notice of intention to strike off names of companies believed to be dormant or inactive due to their failure to file annual returns for 10 years,” the statement read.

The CAC reiterated that companies were required to comply within the statutory grace period by submitting their returns and sending an activation email to activation@cac.gov.ng. While compliant companies remain on the register, defaulters have been struck off.

Acting under Section 692(4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act No. 3 of 2020, the commission published the list of dissolved companies on its website (www.cac.gov.ng).

The delisted entities are now considered dissolved as of the publication date, and the CAC cautioned the public against engaging in transactions with them, deeming such dealings illegal, according to The Cable.
