Gelato Saga: DJ Cuppy sues Davido’s PA, Israel DMW over allegation of owing Zlatan Ibile

Popular Nigerian disk jockey, and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola aka DJ Cuppy, has taking legal action against singer Davido’s PA, Israel DMW, over his purported claim that DJ Cuppy didn’t pay rapper Zlatan Ibile his entitlements for their hit collabo single “Gelato”.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Davido’s PA, Israel DMW, recently took to his Instastory channel to revealed that DJ Cuppy’s refusal to pay rapper Zlatan Ibile for his contribution to their hit collabo “Gelato”, and also for his performance at her fund raising event in Abuja, is the reason the rapper blocked her on social media and also denied knowing her in an interview.

But, reacting on Monday evening via micro-blog app, Twitter, DJ Cuppy claimed there have been no breaches of my contractual agreement regarding the song “Gelato” as confirmed by her lawyers. She further slated that she is taking legal action against 30BG head honcho David’s PA, Israel DMW for libel and defamation.

She wrote; “For the record… There have been no breaches of my contractual agreement regarding the song #Gelato as confirmed by lawyers… However, as @IsrealDMW publicly inaccurately declared I owe an artist money, I am suing him for libel and defamation!

“See you in court Isreal.”
