Gov Alia thanks Benue people for peaceful conduct of LG polls, PDP still in tears

Governor Hyacinth Alia has expressed deep appreciation to the people of Benue State for their peaceful conduct, active participation, and overwhelming support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates during the recently concluded local government elections.

In his statement, Governor Alia praised the election’s violence-free nature, attributing the success to the maturity of the Benue electorate.

He emphasized that the peaceful conduct demonstrated the people’s commitment to engaging in a democratic process with dignity and respect, highlighting peace and unity as key elements for the state’s progress.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your active participation in the recent local government elections across our 23 local governments. Your commitment to exercising your franchise in a peaceful and civil manner is commendable and reflects the maturity of our democracy,” Alia said.

He added that the overwhelming support for APC candidates is a clear indication that the people of Benue recognize and align with his administration’s vision to elevate the state to new heights.

The governor assured the public of his administration’s continued commitment to fulfilling the social contract with the people and building a prosperous Benue where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.

Governor Alia congratulated the winning candidates and urged those who were unsuccessful to join hands with the winners and his administration in the collective effort to achieve the greatness the state deserves.
