Gov Dave Umahi dumps PDP, joins APC
The National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) has officially informed the leadership of the Ebonyi state chapter of the party over the planned defection of governor David Umahi to the party.
The state chairman of APC, Hon. Eze Nwachukwu dropped this hint to Daily Trust on Wednesday.
Nwachukwu said that he was officially informed in Abuja.
He explained that the meeting which was held on Wednesday was attended by national leaders of the party.
“I’m just coming out from a meeting held in Abuja where I was officially informed of Governor Umahi’s plan to dump the opposite party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to our ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)
“So wait till the details will be made known to you in Ebonyi by tomorrow.
“On weather I have been contacted the answer is ‘YES’ and it was done by leaders of our party in Abuja, simple. You will get details”, he said.
