Government bans Tiktok, Telegram, 1XBET
In a decisive move to address concerns related to inappropriate content, extremist propaganda, and undesirable activities in the digital realm, the Ministry of Telecommunications and Technology has officially announced the prohibition of access to popular social media platforms #TikTok and #Telegram, along with the online betting platform 1Xbet.
The ban, which has been put into effect, is aimed at curtailing the dissemination of indecent content, as well as countering the spread of extremist ideologies. The Ministry’s decision reflects a commitment to maintaining a responsible and safe online environment for citizens, particularly the youth.
By restricting access to these platforms, the Ministry aims to mitigate the potential negative impact of these services on society, safeguarding users from exposure to content that may be harmful or in violation of local norms and regulations.
