Gunmen kill three police officers in Ebonyi

Three Policemen have been reportedly killed in Ebonyi State by gunmen.

A reliable source confirmed that three cops were gunned down Monday night in front of a police station along the Enugu-Abakaliki highway.

The policemen, who were said to have mounted roadblock in front of the station, were killed when the gunmen opened fire on them

The source said that the gunmen were in a hummer bus, which the policemen may have mistaken for a commercial vehicle

Confirming the story, the State Police Public Relations Officer Loveth Odah, said she cannot give details of casualty figures until after a visit to the scene of the incident
