Hoodlums allegedly loyal to Sunday Igboho set Fulani settlement ablaze (Video)

Following fierce Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho’s visit and motivation, some irate youths in Igua community Ogun state, have reportedly set Fulani settlement in the area ablaze.

The Yoruba freedom fighter had during his visit to Yewa in Ogun, said he was there to rescue the Yorubas from killer herdsmen and flow out the criminals from the area.

The Ogun State Government, however, said, it did not ask for Igboho’s assistance in tackling the security challenges of the state, but the activist still went ahead to make known his threats to chase away herdsmen from their hideouts in the bush.

The house of the Sarkin Fulani of Igua, Alhaji Adamu Oloru, other houses belonging Fulanis and a cattle market were allegedly set ablaze by youths who were in the community with Sunday Igboho.

The Ogun State Police Public spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, led a team of policemen to Igua for an on-the-spot assessment.

According to the PPRO, the Fulanis and the host community in a meeting with the Police Commissioner agreed to work together to fish out the criminal elements among them for peace to reign.
