HORROR: Otukpo in shock as lady’s lifeless body discovered without organs

Residents of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State were thrown into shock and grief following the discovery of the lifeless body of a young girl inside a culvert near the rice mill area of the town on Friday, IDOMA VOICE reports. 

Eyewitnesses said the body, which appeared to have been dumped several days earlier, was found with some of the victim’s organs reportedly removed, raising strong suspicion of ritual killing.

The disturbing discovery has triggered outrage and fear among residents, who are demanding a swift investigation and justice for the yet-to-be-identified victim.

A resident and citizen journalist known as Ebony Naija, who was at the scene, described the situation as “horrific and unhealthy.”

“This particular corpse has been lying here for some time, maybe about five days,” he said. “I spoke with the DPO and they have sent an officer. I also called the local government chairman, who dispatched the supervisory council on health to the scene. But the corpse is still here, and the smell is terrible. It’s not healthy at all.”

He said the body was found in front of Otukpo Rice Mill.

“The situation is frightening, and we don’t know who the girl is yet.”

As of the time of filing this report, the identity of the deceased remained unknown, and no arrests had been made.
