How my wife was declared HIV positive but later healed – Bishop Abioye
The Founder of the Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, Bishop David Abioye, has recounted how his wife, Mary Abioye, was wrongly diagnosed with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking during a church service, Bishop Abioye revealed that his wife later tested negative after prayers and unwavering faith in divine healing.
He explained that the initial medical report had indicated she was HIV positive, but he refused to accept the result, declaring through faith that such an affliction could not affect his family.
Subsequent medical examinations, he said, confirmed that she was completely free from the virus.
According to the cleric, his reaction was rooted in unshakable confidence in God’s power to heal, adding that faith must remain firm even in moments of fear or uncertainty.
He said the experience tested his belief but ultimately became a testimony of God’s healing power.
“During COVID, they said my wife had HIV. I said, ‘No, not in this body.’ I told them, ‘Do the check-up.’ They checked and couldn’t find anything there.
Healing is not for gentlemen. You don’t negotiate sickness to go; you crush it to go,” Abioye said.
He added that true healing requires boldness and authority, not fear or negotiation, emphasizing that spiritual victory comes from resisting every form of sickness through faith.
Bishop Abioye, who stepped down from the Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel) in 2024, now leads the Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly.
