Afeez Fashola, known by his stage name Naira Marley and head of Marlian Music, has addressed accusations linking him to the untimely demise of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad. He clarified that they were in the process of resolving their differences before the tragic passing of the ‘Peace’ crooner on September 12 at the age of 27.

The late MohBad, a former member of Marlian Music, had previously alleged in various clips that he was assaulted by groups allegedly sent by Naira Marley and his associate Samson Eletu, also known as Sam Larry.

In response to these allegations, Naira Marley released a statement on his Instagram page on Tuesday, vehemently denying any involvement in MohBad’s death. He asserted that while there were indeed disputes between them, they never escalated to the extent being portrayed.

Naira Marley’s statement clarified, “Permit me to categorically state that I have no hand in the death of Ilerioluwa either directly or indirectly. It is not unusual in the industry, like in several industries, to have family friction, even amongst blood relatives.”

He acknowledged disagreements during their working relationship but emphasized that these disagreements were being resolved through legal channels before MohBad’s unfortunate passing. The statement aimed to dispel any misconceptions regarding their relationship and disputes, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to settle their differences through appropriate means.
