‘I have not been the best daddy lately’ – 2Face

 Veteran Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face or 2Baba, has candidly admitted that he has fallen short in his responsibilities as a father in recent times.

The award-winning singer made the revelation during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye. Speaking openly, 2Baba said he is determined to improve and become more intentional about his role as a parent, emphasising the critical influence of an actively involved father in a child’s development.

Despite the disclosure, the musician stressed his desire to maintain boundaries around his private life.

“I want to really contribute to society positively. I want to be among those who make something meaningful happen. I want to contribute my own little quota to help society.

“I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more. However, privacy is very important,” he said.

2Face is a father of eight children from four women. He shares two children with Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye, three with Pero Adeniyi, two with his former wife Annie Macaulay, and one child with his current wife, Natasha Osawaru.
