Why electricity supply has reduced – Ikeja Electric

Ikeja Electric has attributed the reduced hours of electricity supply across its network to a shortfall in power allocated to it from the national grid.

The electricity distribution company disclosed this in a notice dated October 19 2026 and signed by its management.

The company explained that the limited power allocation had affected electricity supply to customers across its network.

It acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the development and appealed to customers to remain patient while efforts continue to address the situation.

Ikeja Electric also assured customers that it was engaging relevant stakeholders to improve power supply across its coverage area.
