Chelsea legend John Terry admitted he was disappointed with the team’s 2-1 defeat to Southampton at the St Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday night.

Chelsea got beaten by Southampton in what was a lacklustre display from Thomas Tuchel’s side.

John Terry tweeted his disappointment after the game and admitted he couldn’t wait for the transfer window to be over.

“I hate seeing us get beat,” Terry tweeted.

“Southampton were very good , but we look very unbalanced at the minute. I can’t wait for the window to close and get our settled squad, team and formation.

“We miss Reece [James] so much when he doesn’t play. 22 years old and a future captain in my opinion.”

Tuchel has himself said he’s looking forward to the end of the transfer window, so he can know the players that are committed to the Chelsea cause.

He said: “I don’t want to go down this road and give any room for excuses to anybody.

“The closing of the transfer window will help. We will know who has full commitment and what role everybody needs to play and to fulfil, and everybody including myself needs to step up our level of performance. It’s an okay performance, not a disaster, but okay is never good enough.”
