The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the sale of Direct Entry (DE) application forms for candidates seeking admission into higher institutions will commence on Wednesday, March 12.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by JAMB’s Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja.

According to Benjamin, the registration process is specifically for individuals with degrees, diplomas, or A-level certificates who wish to gain admission into their preferred universities through Direct Entry.

He noted that the commencement of DE registration follows the conclusion of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application sales, which ended on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

“During this period, JAMB recorded a total of 2,030,627 registrations for the 2025 UTME, alongside 200,115 for the Mock-UTME and 630 applications for the trial mock,” he stated.

JAMB also reiterated the importance of meeting all entry requirements, warning that candidates who submit false declarations would face severe penalties.

“A special committee will verify all submitted Advanced A-Level qualifications, and any fraudulent results will lead to prosecution. Institutions are also encouraged to conduct independent verification of certificates before granting admissions,” Benjamin added.

He further clarified that DE registration can only be carried out at JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRC).
