The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the successful rescue of three laborers who had fallen victim to a kidnapping incident orchestrated by suspected gunmen within the state.

ASP Mansir Hassan, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, shared this uplifting news during an interview with NAN in Kaduna on a Friday.

Hassan detailed the incident, stating that the distressing episode unfolded around 8:00 p.m. on a Thursday when a concerned individual reported to the police that a group of armed men had forcibly abducted the laborers while they were diligently working at Nura Suraj Phase 2 Estate, located in close proximity to Millennium City, Doka village.

Upon receiving this distressing report, law enforcement swiftly sprang into action. Both police and military personnel were rapidly dispatched to the scene, where they engaged in a determined pursuit of the criminals responsible for this act.

“As a result of that, the three kidnap victims were rescued.

“Investigation has commenced, confidence-building patrols and surveillance have also been intensified in the area to ensure the arrest of the suspects”, he said.

Hassan also told NAN that its operatives arrested three suspected cellphone snatchers.

According to him, the three male suspects were arrested on Thursday at about 10 p.m. during a patrol near Danbushiya Bridge on the outskirts of the Kaduna metropolis.

He said they conspired and snatched an Infinix Smart 6 cellphone from an innocent passerby.

“The suspects are in custody and assisting with the investigation.

“They will be charged to court on completion of the investigation,” Hassan said.
