Kidnapers take over Loko-Oweto-Otukpo road (Photos)
The Otukpo-Oweto road has turned to a den of kidnappers as passengers and motorists plying the road are no longer safe.
Just last month, some persons were kidnapped along the road while heading to Abuja from Otukpo.
On Wednesday, one Apochi Batholomew also revealed how he barely escaped with his life from the hands of the daredevil men along the road.

He said other passengers were whisked away but he survived.
He said, “Friends and well-wishers please help thank the Almighty God for saving me from the hand of kidnappers along Nassarawa Oweto Otukpo road, my vehicle was the only one that escaped them the others behind me were ambushed despite the spray of bullet on my vehicle God gave me the mind to escape it can only be God.”

- Police check points few from Keffi to Loko, but local vigilante mounts roadblocks
- Few motorists on the road
- No filling station the moment you are out of Nasarawa
- No big restaurant along this route
- No mechanic shop in sight, your vehicle must be in good condition before embarking on any trip
- You car air-condition must be in a good state to enjoy the journey because of the dusty portions.
- From Agatu to Otukpo, good road network but too much sharp bends.
- Your motor papers must be complete; the policemen along this road are not friendly AT ALL.
- If you are a lover of fish, you will see enough to buy on the bridge
- Passing through this road is boring, but you will sure cut your journey by four hours.
