Korean actor Song Jae-Rim, star of ‘The Moon Embracing The Sun’ found dead
Popular Korean actor Song Jae-Rim, widely recognized for his role in the K-drama The Moon Embracing The Sun, has tragically passed away.
According to Korean news reports, Jae-Rim was found dead in his residence in Seoul’s Seongdong district on November 12. He was 39 years old at the time of his death.
A two-page note was reportedly discovered at the scene, though the cause of death has not been officially revealed. While authorities have not confirmed the details, there are circulating rumors on social media suggesting the possibility of suicide.
Investigators have stated that there are currently no signs of foul play, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Jae-Rim’s death remains ongoing.
Funeral arrangements for the actor are scheduled for November 14 at a funeral parlor in Yeouido.
Born on February 18, 1985, Jae-Rim began his career in entertainment as a model, gracing the covers of several magazines before transitioning into acting in 2009. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal in The Moon Embracing The Sun, a hit drama series that aired in 2012.
Jae-Rim’s acting career included roles in films such as Give Me Back My Cat, Grand Prix, The Suspect, On Your Wedding Day, The Snub, Good Morning, and Tunnel 3D. He also appeared in TV series like Unkind Ladies, Two Weeks, and Queen Woo.
