1. Speaker Benue State House of Assembly and gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rt Hon Titus Uba alongside other members of the State Assembly Saturday, 29th October 2022 visited victims of herdsmen attacks receiving treatment at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital Makurdi.
Engr Uba commiserated with the victims who suffered various degrees of injuries ranging from gunshots, and matchet cuts and called on security agencies to do more in securing the lives and properties of the people of the state.
2. Benue Coalition for Democracy, BCD, has read with utter disappointment, the statement credited to the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu while he was speaking in Gboko on Friday and yesterday being Saturday 29th October, 2022.
BCD noted that one of the biggest beneficiaries of key positions at the federal level from Benue State, Ayu has never returned the love and blessings he receives from the state.
3. The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, condemns, in the strongest terms, the attempt on the life of a constituent, Akor Ikwuoche.
The Senator wonders why anybody would want to take a life that he didn’t create. He says politics is only a game that needs not to be played with so much bitterness and anger to warrant an attempt on anybody’s life, he appeals to political actors to embrace tolerance, love and patience irrespective of our political and ideological differences, even as we prepare for the 2023 general elections.
4. A 14-year-old boy identified as Onuh Micheal, from Our Lady Queen of Apostles College, Obu Branch, Otukpa in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, has constructed a two-storey building using carton as a result of an assignment given to them in the subject, Cultural and Creative Art.
Micheal, son of Mr/Mrs Ameh Onuh, who is currently in JSS 2, single-handedly did his own construction in response to the assignment given to the class on Wednesday, 26th October, 2022.
5. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State has postponed its earlier announced date for the inauguration of the 2023 campaign structures in the state.
6. Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah, has remembered her late colleague, Ada Ameh’s daughter, Aladi, who died in 2020.

The Benue Coalition for Democracy, BCD, have frowned at the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu visiting the state and failing to sympathise with the people over the recent herdsmen killings in Gbeji that claimed close to 40 lives and the massive flooding that displaced over 134,797 and claimed 24 lives across the state.
