Manchester United secured a dramatic 3–2 victory over fierce rivals Liverpool FC in a pulsating Premier League clash that could prove decisive in the race for Champions League qualification.

United made a blistering start, taking control of the match inside the opening 15 minutes. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring early on, before Benjamin Šeško doubled the lead shortly after, with his goal surviving a tense VAR review for a potential handball.

Liverpool struggled to find rhythm in the first half but emerged revitalized after the break. Dominik Szoboszlai pulled one back, and within minutes Cody Gakpo levels the score and equalized for the away team after a defensive error from the Manchester United defender.

With momentum swinging, the decisive moment came in the 77th minute when young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo calmly finished to restore United’s lead.

Despite late pressure from Liverpool, United held firm through a chaotic finale to claim all three points.

The victory not only completes a league double over Liverpool for the first time in years but also significantly boosts United’s hopes of returning to Europe’s elite competition next season.
