Maryam’s educational journey began in Kano, where she received her early education. She pursued her passion for physiotherapy and attended the Federal School of Physiotherapy in Bayero University, where she graduated with distinction, obtaining a BSc in the field.

Her dedication and talent in physiotherapy led her to work with top-tier athletes, including the legendary Jamaican athlete and world record holder, Usain Bolt. Maryam’s remarkable skills took her to the London Olympics, where she served on the medical team, working closely with the Jamaican superstar.

Furthering her education, Maryam went to London and earned a Master’s Degree in sports physiotherapy from the University of East London, Stratford. She built a distinguished career in the field, working briefly with Dala Orthopedic and Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospitals in Kano before venturing into international development work.
