Miracles in Nigerian churches are staged – Daddy Freeze

Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has claimed that miracles in Nigerian Pentecostal churches are staged and not genuine.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Outside The Box podcast, he stated that he does not believe in these miracles, arguing that they are designed to deceive gullible individuals.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t believe in any of the miracles in Pentecostal churches. I have no issue with the pastors, but I simply don’t believe their miracles,” he said.

Daddy Freeze compared modern-day miracles to those performed by Jesus in the Bible, emphasizing that Christ’s healings were verifiable and involved well-known individuals.

“Christ healed a man with a withered hand in the temple. He raised Lazarus from the dead. He restored sight to blind Bartimaeus, a well-known figure. But in Nigeria today, no public figure has ever been healed,” he argued.

He cited the cases of late Dora Akunyili and actor John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), stating that despite prayers from prominent religious leaders, they were not healed.

“Dora Akunyili was dying of cancer, and every Nigerian G.O. prayed for her, but nothing happened. Mr. Ibu’s health deteriorated, leading to amputation, and he eventually died—yet no miracle was performed.

“Don’t just tell me you performed miracles. I want proof,” he added.
