Missing penis: Curfew declared in Benue community
Following prolonged unrest in Daudu town, Mbawa council ward in Guma local government area over alleged manhood removal, Executive Chairman, Guma local government/Chairman, Benue State ALGON, Hon. Caleb Aba Caleb imposed a curfew on Daudu town from 6A.M to 8P.M indefinitely during a meeting held at the residence of the district Head of Mbawa, Chief Oliver Chado.
Addressing the community, Hon. Aba who regretted the unfortunate incidences described the protests carried out by aggrieved youths which resulted into the mass destruction of property including loss of a life warned the youths to henceforth desist from such barbaric and criminal acts. He expressed disappointment over the continual unrest despite the intervention of traditional rulers and the Benue State Governor. Hon. Aba said anyone found formating crisis in the area would be severely dealt with.
Area Commander, ASP Bako Samak also speaking advised the youths to shun any attempt to further disrupt peace in the area, saying the police were determined to arrest and prosecute any offender.
Mue Ter Ihyarev, Chief Augustine Shonyi advised the youths to report such incidence to the appropriate authority and not take laws into their hands.
Youth Leader of Daudu, Mr. Terwase Yaga speaking on behalf of the youths apologized for their unlawful activities and promised to immediately summon a meeting of the youths for proper briefings so as to adhere to the laid down instructions.
