More than 30 bandits killed, many injured in Zamfara rival clash

More than 30 bandits have been killed and several others injured as rival bandit groups engaged in a bloody clash in the Kawaya community of Anka Local Government in Zamfara State.

According to one of the villagers, Usman Abubakar, the clash erupted as a result of cattle rustling by the bandits.

“We are very happy as the bandits are now killing themselves. This may lead to the end of banditry in the area,” he said.

He further stated that since the clash between the bandits started, the village has become very calm, noting that the bandits have been terrorizing the area for years.
