The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, Sunday, visited Epeilo and Owukpa communities to sympathize with the people over the devastating effects of the epidemic that has claimed many lives and several others hospitalized, and have a first-hand information about the disease.
The Senator, who described the journey as stressful, was worth it, identified with the people and promised to address some of the requests they made.
He said, “For a start, Owukpa community will be getting a transformer before Christmas, that will be done without delay. Visibility study will be carried out in Epeilo for one or two boreholes. I will also ensure that health centres are built for the communities.
“The people need all the help, so I will continue to interface with the local and state governments with a view to putting smiles on their faces.
“The state government has done so well; the quick intervention and the ongoing efforts to contain the epidemic is quite commendable.
“Never will I leave my people alone!”
