1. Wives of Bola Tinubu and that of Kashim Shettima, have come under fire for flying in the presidential jet to Benue State.
Oluremi Tinubu and Hajia Nana Shettima, were in Benue State on Monday to visit victims of flood disaster.
They duo fly into Makurdi through the NAF Air Force base with the presidential jet, a development that has stirred controversy online.

2. Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court, Abuja today Monday, October 24, 2022, ordered the final forfeiture of two Abuja properties and two luxury cars belonging to a former minister of petroleum resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, to the Federal Government.

The two properties are located at Plot 1854 Mohammed Mahashir Street, and No. 6, Aso Drive, in the highbrow Asokoro and Maitama Districts of Abuja are valued at $2,674,418USD and N380, 000,000 respectively.

3. Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, on Monday, accused the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, of disrespecting him by picking the state’s PDP presidential campaign nominees without his contribution.

The governor made the claim while inaugurating the PDP campaign council and the launching of the party’s governorship campaign office in Port Harcourt, the state capital, adding that Atiku selected “enemies” of Rivers into his campaign council for the 2023 general elections.

4. Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries, on Monday, denied chasing away some families of police officers killed during the assassination attack on his life.

Suleman described the viral stories as lies, stressing that nothing of such happened.

In a tweet, Suleman wrote: “I was just told that some social media platforms carried that some families of the slain policemen came to my house and were chased away.

5. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, has married another bride. The marital rites were performed at a ceremony in Magodo, Lagos on Monday.

Ooni’s new bride is a princess from Ijebu.

6. The Management of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has announced the date for the 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Orientation Course.

A statement by the scheme said it would commence on Wednesday 2nd November, 2022, and end on Tuesday 22nd November, 2022.

It said the three weeks orientation exercise would hold simultaneously in all the 36 NYSC Orientation camps across the country including the FCT, Abuja.

7. British Conservative Rishi Sunak has been announced the new United Kingdom prime minister and the country’s first leader of colour.

This is sequel to the failure of Liz Tories to fulfill her manifesto. Sunak capped a stunning reversal in fortunes by winning the leadership as early as Monday afternoon, following ex-premier Johnson’s unexpected move late Sunday.

8. Mr. Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, in the 2023 general election has said that his followers and proponents of the ‘Obidient’ movement are mostly Nigerians who are enraged over the sorry state of the nation and therefore demand change.

Obi made the disclosure on Monday featuring on Arise TV’s Morning Show, where he responded to a question bordering on the aggressive attitude of some of his followers on social media.

9. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State has received no fewer than 12, 963 defectors from the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the State.

The party’s gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Yakubu Lado-Danmarke, gave the assured the decampees of equal treatments on Sunday during their welcoming ceremony at Kaita and Jibia local government areas.

10. President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Chinese leader, President Xi Jinping on his election to a third term as the leader of the Communist Party of China.

Buhari in a congratulatory message issued through Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity said, “I hope that your re-election would pave the way for deeper and enduring partnership and strategic cooperation that will be mutually beneficial to our two countries.
