Nigerian army recovers 38 rustled cattle from Lakurawa terrorists in Sokoto village
Terrorists from the Lakurawa group have once again raided Kura village in Soron Yamma ward, Binji Local Government Area of Sokoto State, seizing a significant number of livestock.
The attack, which took place on Tuesday, did not result in any casualties or injuries among the villagers, according to security sources. Counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, confirmed that no one was harmed during the raid.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army successfully recovered 38 rustled cattle in Kalgo village, Sokoto State, which had been taken by suspected Lakurawa terrorists. The livestock was returned to its rightful owners in Mera village, Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Makama noted that the recovery operation, led by troops from the Headquarters, 1 Brigade, and 1 Battalion, was executed smoothly without incident. The terrorists reportedly fled upon learning of the army’s approach, leaving behind the cattle.
This recovery comes amidst growing concerns over the increasing activities of the Lakurawa terrorists in Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states.
