  1. Eighty-seven lawyers have been elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC), as announced on August 1, 2024, by Hajia Hajo Sarki Bello.

  2. WhatsApp may suspend operations in Nigeria due to a $220 million fine imposed by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) for a data privacy breach. Meta, WhatsApp’s parent company, might also withdraw some services.
