Nigeria’s Super Eagles were unable to secure a win against Rwanda, with the match ending in a goalless draw in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier held in Kigali on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles were left frustrated after what appeared to be a legitimate goal was disallowed in the first half.

Victor Boniface’s header from a throw-in was initially deemed to have been played on to Ademola Lookman, who subsequently scored.

However, the referee ruled the goal out.

Both teams’ goalkeepers were in fine form, delivering crucial saves that kept the scoreline level.

With this result, Nigeria remains at the top of Group D with four points, while Rwanda holds the second spot with two points.
