No Nigerian nominated for Ballon d’Or 2022 award
No Nigerian players made the 30-man shortlist for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.
The list was announced today, Friday, 12 August 2022.
This was confirmed by France Football, who are organizers of the award, via their website today.
Among the 30-man list, only three African players made the cut.
They include Riyad Mahrez of Algeria, Sadio Mané of Senegal and Mo Sallah of Egypt.
