A notorious bandit leader, Isuhu Madele, also known as Dan Isuhu, has been killed in an ambush by a rival faction loyal to Dogo Gide.

Dan Isuhu, infamous for his violent operations across Tsafe and neighboring areas such as Dansadau, Sabuwa, and Gusau in Zamfara State, as well as Faskari, Kankara, and Funtua in Katsina State, was attacked on Thursday in Danjibga village, Tsafe Local Government Area.

Security sources confirmed to Daily Nigerian that the ambush occurred in Danjibga district, where Dan Isuhu sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head. His gang members attempted to save him by taking him to Kunchin Kalgo Dispensary, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Reports suggest that longstanding hostilities between Dan Isuhu’s faction and Dogo Gide’s gang had escalated, with the slain bandit leader allegedly responsible for killing several of Gide’s loyalists. In retaliation, Gide’s group ambushed Dan Isuhu while he was traveling to Keta to reinforce another bandit group engaged in a firefight with security forces, community protection guards (CPGs), and other armed responders.

Following the attack, bandits stormed Kunchin Kalgo village, firing sporadically in an attempt to recover their leader. However, they ultimately retreated into the Dangajeru forest, carrying Dan Isuhu’s lifeless body.

The violent clash triggered panic in Danjibga and Kunchin Kalgo villages, with several innocent residents caught in the crossfire as the gun battle unfolded.
