All is now set for the construction of Obagaji-Okokolo Road, in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue.

Hon John Anthony Ikwulono, the immediate past Vice Chairman of Agatu LGC made the revelation on Thursday, 27th October, 2022.

According to him “Distinguished Sen Patrick Abba Moro, directed the contractor handling the grading and littering of Obagaji-Okokolo road to call me (Hon John Anthony Ikwulono) to take him to Agatu for inspection and immediate commencement of the work.

“Without wasting time, I took off from Makurdi and joined the Engineer and we went to Agatu.

“We moved from Obagaji to Okokolo, I took pictures of some deplorable portions of the road in each community from Egba down to Okokolo. At a point our vehicle sank somewhere at Adagbo when we were returning back after the survey.

“The good news for those who have been asking to know about the road issue is that, equipments for construction work will arrive Agatu between now and second week of November by my finding from the Engineer as Senator Moro according to my investigation, has been mounting pressure on the contractor handling the project.

“By God’s Grace, the Obagaji-Okokolo road issue will be a thing of the past.

“It will be recalled that, by 1st May, 2022 I took some Engineers to the area for measurement of the road on the directives of the Senator. Today I received another directives from Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing the good people of Zone C, to take the Engineer handling the Project for inspection and immediate commencement of the job.

“We appreciate Senator Moro for his efforts and our leaders who have been speaking continuously about the road”. He said
