Ortom is doing well – Okorocha

Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District and former Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has applauded the leadership qualities and courage of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom

Senator Okorocha who spoke today at the Presidential Lodge, Benue Peoples House Makurdi during courtesy visit on Governor Ortom, acknowledged his boldness in handling very difficult state matters to ensure peace in all parts of Benue State.

He described Governor Ortom’s strides in education as laudable, stressing that it is the best legacy any government would leave for future generations.

Owelle Okorocha blamed the security and economic challenges confronting the country and the resultant lack of confidence in leadership by the masses to communication gap between leaders and the led and appealed that such be strengthened.

He appealed to the Governor to issue Rochas Okorocha Foundation Certificate of Occupancy on a land allocated to it so it could bring its school to Benue, saying the state currently has only 115 students in the foundation’s schools across the country.

Governor Ortom described Chief Okorocha as a patriotic Nigerian who has distinguished himself in business, philanthropy and politics, saying he speaks for justice and equity for all Nigerians.

The Governor blamed the decadence in the Nigerian state on greed and sentiments by leaders at various levels, saying in order to get things right, all must embrace truth irrespective of party affiliations and ethnicity.

He opined that the current state of the economy requires encouraging the private sector to boost production.
