Ortom’s wife called out as water scarcity hits her hometown
Wife of the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, Mrs. Eunice Ortom, has been called out following her failure to use her office to provide drinkable water for her community, Naka, in Gwer West Local Government Area of the State.
According to the man who called her out, Mrs. Ortom’s pet project of gifting cars to her loyalists would be more beneficial to the society if she provide portable drinking water to an entire community in Gwer West where she hailed from.
Cheren Terfa Jeremiah, who described Mrs. Ortom as “praised by many as the complimenting figure” to the short comings of the Ortom government, therefore, pleaded with the first lady to come to the rescue of Naka, the headquarters of local government by providing drinkable water for the masse.
He wrote; “I AM NOT HERE TO CAST ASPERSIONS ON THE NAME OF THE FIRST LADY
Dr.Mrs Eunice Ortom is a rumoured strong personality .
Notably amongst her heights is the never relenting efforts that The Young be engaged in leadership positions as we have always chanted .
She has been applauded to be the driving force towards ensuring that young People are seen worthy of service currently .
Praised by many as the complimenting figure to the short comings of the current dispensation, I will rather offer her my respect and commendations and at least spare her any form of media ridicule.
It is an all time normal that her Excellency’s pet Projects might enable her loyalist car gifts but it will take a lot more to supply portable water to an entire community of the size of Gwer if our aim is to get a sustainable source of water supply that will stand the test of time .
If ours is to seek an ever lasting solution to an issue as fundamental as portable water supply then the Executive arm of the State Government and those representating the Good people of Naka at the national and state assembly be those we will call out and not an office that is not recognized by the Constitution.
Thus; I want to use this medium to plead on behalf of the People of Naka so they can be seen worthy of a source of healthy water supply, That those close to the first lady should help point her towards the need for a good supply system in the area so she can tap her husband at his hour of need to attend to the yearnings of Naka People and the State at large .
I am sure she won’t disappoint, for it has always being in her Calibre to be a shining star in the midst of Darkness.
Cheers!!!”
