Paul Pogba tests positive in doping tests

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly tested positive for testosterone following their Serie A match against Udinese, as reported by Corriere della Sera.

According to the report, Pogba has been given a three-day window to respond to the charge. Standard procedure entails players undergoing anti-doping tests immediately after matches in most top European leagues.

Pogba had featured in matches against Bologna and Empoli before the alleged confirmation of testosterone traces in his test.

Now, the former Manchester United midfielder is required to request a counter-analysis of the test result.

It’s worth noting that doping violations in Serie A can result in suspensions ranging from two to four years if found guilty, putting the 30-year-old player in a precarious situation.
