As the 2023 election gathers momentum, the factional chairman and gubernatorial flagbearer of the Labour Party in Lagos State, Ifagbemi Awamaridi, has said that attempts by some individuals in the opposition party to take over his positions as the “bonafide chairman and governorship candidate of the party” can lead to the nullification of the presidential candidacy of Peter Obi.
It was gathered that Awamaridi maintained that he was neither sacked nor replaced through any constitutional process.
Labour Party Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahed, has said that the party’s presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi, has what it takes to return Nigeria to the right path of development.

Sociopolitical commentator, Deji Adeyanju has claimed that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, may also buy votes like his counterparts in the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has declared that he has no preferred candidate among those contesting the 2023 presidential election.
Obasanjo, who stated this in Minna on Sunday when he paid former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar a visit, said he only had a national agenda not a preferred candidate.

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, on Tuesday, has revealed why he doesn’t talk about the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
