Peter Okoye opens up on P-Square’s split after reunion
Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has shed light on the reasons behind the latest split of the music duo, P-Square, which he formed with his twin brother, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy).
In a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, Peter revealed that despite their efforts to stay together, continuing as a duo was no longer working.
“There’s a joy that comes with going solo. Please respect our decisions. We’ve tried it, it’s not working,” he said.
Mr P noted that the decision to pursue solo careers should be respected by fans, as both brothers are finding fulfilment in their individual musical journeys.
DAILY POST recalls that Paul Okoye had, in August 2024, confirmed the group’s breakup. P-Square originally split in 2016, reunited in 2021, but have now gone their separate ways again.
