Peter Otulu: Insider’s account on how Idoma gospel music legend died, plus his last moments

Details of how renowned Idoma-born gospel music legend, Peter Otulu, died have emerged.
IDOMA VOICE had earlier exclusively reported that Otulu breathe his last at the St. Daniel Hospital, Otukpo in his 70s.
An insider told our reporter that the singer had on Monday collapsed and was rushed to a hospital in Otukpo town but the doctor on duty said he could not handle the case.

He referred them to another hospital.
The children subsequently contacted Godwin Obla (SAN), who has been a great help to the deceased family and he made arrangement for him to be taken to St. Daniel Hospital.
The source said the singer could not talk as his tongue was wagging in his mouth.
All efforts by the doctors at St. Daniel to revive him met the rocks as he lost the battle on Tuesday afternoon.
He left behind his ever-supportive wife, Lady Ojoma Otulu and six children, Ojo, Inalegwu, Godwin, Princess Ondugbe and Daniel.

Otulu hailed from Ugboju in Otukpo LGA of Benue State.
His popular songs include: Opechi, Igblenyi Kawanda, Jefta, Oba ml’onya, Ijema, Jisos Jikwu and many others.
