Police arrest six suspected kidnappers linked to Abuja, Niger abductions
The Niger State Police Command has arrested six suspected kidnappers allegedly linked to a series of abductions in the Kubwa and Bwari areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as well as parts of Niger State.
Commissioner of Police Adamu Abdullahi Elleman disclosed this while briefing journalists on Friday in Minna, the Niger State capital.
According to the police commissioner, the suspects were apprehended by operatives during an operation in Kpakungu, a suburb of Minna.
Elleman said preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly involved in multiple kidnapping incidents across the affected communities.
“The suspects confessed during interrogation to kidnapping residents in Bwari, Kubwa and parts of Niger State,” he said.
He added that investigations were still ongoing and assured that further details of the case would be made public after the probe is concluded.
