Fast-rising singer Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Prime Boy, has filed a lawsuit against Abosede Adeyemo, the mother of his late best friend, Mohbad, over alleged defamation.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Prime Boy shared the legal document on his Instagram page on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The suit, filed at the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja, accuses Abosede of making defamatory and malicious statements about him in a video interview on March 28, 2024.

The document, dated February 12, 2025, claims that Abosede’s comments—widely circulated in the media—were intended to tarnish Prime Boy’s reputation. He is seeking ₦50 million in damages for the alleged false, malicious, and injurious remarks.

Meanwhile, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has expressed concerns about the police investigation into his son’s death.

Speaking to BBC Pidgin on Wednesday, Aloba revealed that the police urged him to drop the case and allow his son to be buried. However, he insisted that the government should take over the investigation, emphasizing his right to know the truth about Mohbad’s death.

Mohbad passed away nearly one year and five months ago, and his father has remained vocal in his pursuit of justice.
