Renewed Network gains momentum across Nigeria ahead of 2027 elections
Less than 48 hours after its formal unveiling, the Renewed Network (TRN) is already attracting widespread political interest and grassroots mobilisation across the country, signaling the early emergence of a coordinated national platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The initiative is being championed by former Zamfara State governor and Senator representing Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Yari. According to the network’s national facilitators, Mohammed Abubakar and Emmanuel Osita, thousands of Nigerians from different regions have already begun registering as members, while several political stakeholders have quietly expressed interest in associating with the platform.
Facilitators revealed that individuals linked to more than 30 state governors, along with senior advisers and other influential political figures, reached out shortly after the unveiling to signal support. Political analysts say the swift response reflects growing attention on the movement, which many view as part of a broader strategy to consolidate nationwide support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of a potential re-election bid in 2027.
The facilitators emphasised that the Renewed Network is the product of months of consultations with political stakeholders, grassroots leaders, youth organisations, women’s groups, and former elected officials across Nigeria. These discussions, they said, highlighted a shared commitment to sustaining and strengthening the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Insiders explained that the platform aims to mobilise grassroots support, coordinate political participation across the federation, and encourage civic engagement among young people, women, and community leaders. The network reportedly involves participants from all 774 local government areas in the country.
Preparations are already underway for a major national launch, expected to attract thousands of supporters, political stakeholders, youth leaders, and delegates from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Supporters argue that the initiative represents an opportunity to broaden political inclusion and promote active participation in democratic processes. Observers say the Renewed Network could soon emerge as a key influencer in Nigeria’s political landscape as preparations for the 2027 elections gather pace.
