Reno Omokri Declares War on Obidients, Vows to Dismantle Movement

Former presidential aide and social commentator Reno Omokri has declared that he is on a mission to dismantle the supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as Obidients.
Speaking with News Central on Thursday, Omokri claimed that Obi was once his political project, revealing that he had advised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to select Obi as his running mate for the 2019 election.
“I took a vow to destroy that movement because Peter Obi was a project of mine. I was responsible for Peter Obi becoming the running mate to Waziri Atiku Abubakar in 2019. I’ve said this publicly. I’ve got the documents. I’m a meticulous record keeper,” Omokri stated.
He alleged that members of the Obidient movement have repeatedly harassed and threatened him and his family.
“Peter Obi’s movement, Obidients, started attacking me, threatening me, insulting me. That was OK. But then they moved from myself to my family. I just had a daughter at that time. There were multiple death threats.
“They came to my house in the United Kingdom. They trailed my wife and me when we were jogging. They found out my jogging route and pursued me, threatening me,” he claimed.
Omokri added that since Obi failed to rein in his supporters, he resolved to use his political influence to dismantle the movement.
Meanwhile, Obidients have continued to push back against Omokri’s comments, dismissing his mission as futile.
